Sorry…

God, I am so sick of cleaning. My House has been scrubbed, polished and shined, and washed.

And yet,not one person has come to look at this house. Oh well…whatever happens happens.

Anyway, this happening, this “getting the house on the market” has eaten up my life. I got tons done, but nelly, I am tired!

I am NOT going to tourture you with a big list of my painting accomplishments..instead I will reporting on the exciting happenings in the world wide adoption land…

Ann Flesser’s Book “The Girls that Went Away” is out and getting good press, grandering attention for the stories of our BSE moms. Hmm..I have to go to a Mall today, perhaps I shall hunt down a book store.

Huge terminology debates and conversations going on at Soul of Adoption. It is very interesting to see the power of words and peoples emotional reactions to the play of vocabulary.
The outcome of all this debate is that the names of the forums dedicated to moms and families has been changed to “Families of Origins”. I rather like this development.

It is also rather wonderful to have prospective adoptive parents saying that they have been hearing our stories and words…and changing the way they think, what they are conserned about and bringing these new awareness to the agencies.

The New York Adoptee Bill of Rights bill..which was suppose to be voted on in Health committee on the 2nd, was held up by some ruckus concerning the Judiciary Committee. It will sit in Judicery and rot, and belongs in Health where it still has a chance. Consider this a call to inundate NY again with letters and phone calls.

I have heard nothing on the letter from Max’s parents. sigh.

And then, I must leave you with this….so appropriate that I cannot resist.

The head of our nation with it’s war mongering, high gas priced, right wing Christian Hiprocrisy, supporter of Maternity homes and the Gladness Agency, and I go on..yes, Straight from the Oval Orifice..George Bush..his face made up entirely of …..

…ASSHOLES

Yeah…watch this!!

Musings of the Lame was started in 2005 primarily as a simple blog recording the feelings of a birthmother as she struggled to understand how the act of relinquishing her first newborn so to adoption in 1987 continued to be a major force in her life. Built from the knowledge gained in the adoption community, it records the search for her son and the adoption reunion as it happened. Since then, it has grown as an adoption forum encompassing the complexity of the adoption industry, the fight to free her sons adoption records and the need for Adoptee Rights, and a growing community of other birthmothers, adoptive parents and adopted persons who are able to see that so much what we want to believe about adoption is wrong.
