So it’s Friday..a lovely Spring day..and I have to go to work in two hours. No, make that I have to be at work in two hours.
I was SUPPOSE to go in at 5:30, which would have been real nice, but being that it is a beautiful day…I was asked to come in early to cover the patio. Yeah, the first day of patio service. The patio is HELL. I am campaining for the roll of “patio Diva” this summer. Everyone has to do a Patio tour of duty..and it really does SUCK, but a few of the long timers, ger immunity. Becasue it is a resturant, and with turn over, I have gotten “seniority” status..I am like fouth in rank, so I would really like to stay out of the swaet and fly zone this summer. Well see. COnsidering that I have to go in early for what I have requested NOT to do..it does not bode well.
Which gives me about an hour to do something real with my time. Oh, what reason do I have NOT to fold the ever beastly pile of laundry in my room??
I haven’t heard back definativly from Max on the concept of the letter, but he did reply to my last quick mesage on whether or not he has Mono…( doesn’t seem like he does, even though the GF has been home sick with it)…so I bounced him back a quick FYI again..tell me a big NO, otherwise I will take an ignore as a condoning the action. It’s gonna go out Monday, if he doesn’t say Nah.
Recieved my own copy of DreamWeaver last night. I have to fiqure out how to use the damn thing as I am taking over the “making pretty” of a certain website. I have FrontPage, and know it pretty well, but it seems like DW is preferred. Why? I don’t know..all teckie nerdy Greek to me.
Today is the 31st of March..which means really nothing, but IF my first high school love and I had not broken up..it would be our 23 year…lol. Why do I remember stupid dates and anniversaries to nothing? Ug, then it is April. I have a birthday in April. HOW did I manage to get so old?

April 4th will also mark the first year annivesary of contact with Max. I “found” him again on April 2nd, but he replied on the 4th. I can’t beleive it has been a year. And then in July, it will be two years already since I searched and first found. THAT I just find nuts. Time really does wiz past.
OK..one hour to be productive. Rye’s not home yet..I think I’ll grab those nasty socks. MUhahahah!

I find very loud music helpful with housework. AC/DC (bon scott) is excellent for floors and dishes.
Can you not con older children to fold laundry in exchange for small favours and even smaller amounts of cash?

When I lived in Colorado I was a server for years.I feel your pain about the patio thing!
Once when I was serving on the patio a guest ordered a bottle of Moet White Star Champagne.
I grabbed a bottle from a case that had been under pressure so when I went to open it the bottle shot out of my hand and into the street where it played spin the bottle on speed.
Everyone on the patio got drenched.
Did I mention they had all just come from the opera? Oh, and did I mention the guy who asked for the Moet was the food critic for the Denver Post?
So he came home early…bastard..and I did not get to grab the socks!
I am not ALLOWED to listen to my music because it drowns out the sounds of the Wonderpets or Barbie Swan Lake or Chicken Little ( the DVDs and Tivo choice of the week)
Yes, Kipper, the laundry will pass, but alas..it will come again, and again, and again.

Oh Mia, that is a very sad story. I ended up being on the patio all night. I growled, literally, at all my staff mates for the first two hours..BUT I did get done early..had a nice dinner and came home…to have Tristan wake up..crying..and PEE all over me!
Least he missed the bed. Yeah, more laundry!

Claud, I have three adults. They are still filthy afer all these years. And so am I.
There is no hope. We are all doomed to a life of eternal sockdom (and worse) until the Great Sockwhallah in the sky socks it to us by putting the final sock in it.
