Discuss Open Adoption Records, OBC access and Adoptees Right to Know on ABC

ABC’s 20/20 did a show, Stolen at Birth, on Paul Fronczak who was stolen from his mother’s arms in a Chicago hospital in 1964. A baby was later found abandoned in New Jersey – and reunited with his family. Paul then grew up believing he was that stolen baby with all the family secrets and BS, but now the truth is that the stolen baby is still missing.

You can watch the whole episode here; it is interestingand almost amusing since known adoptive parent and no friend to adoption truths, Brara Walters, heads the investigation. http://abcnews.go.com/watch/2020/SH559026/VDKA0_mtq6c9g8/2020-1101-stolen-at-birth-a-2020-investigation

But, the conversations on Facebook brought up by the episode are where it’s really at!  I guess the social media team for 20/20 thought adoption would be a good subject even though Paul Fronczak is not really thought to be an adoptee (though he was eventually adopted) However, his quest to find out who he really is has been a way to bring that natural need to the forefront, plus discusses DNA testing.

“Paul is out there and I have his birth certificate”
